Originally conceived as one of many D&D-inspired characters I enjoy creating and never actually playing (a swamp genasi druid necromancer!), Mama Zélie’s backstory evolved and shapeshifted as I was drawing her. She is now the common ancestor of most of the main characters in a multi-generational story set in the real world, spanning several decades. Maybe more about that later.
